Verification reduces risk - it does not eliminate it entirely. Members are encouraged to exercise their own judgment throughout the process.

We retain your personal data for as long as your membership is active and for up to 3 years after membership ends, for legal compliance. Background check results are held for 2 years. Deletion requests are processed within 30 days, subject to legal obligations.

By accessing or using Maitrimony you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
You must be at least 18 years of age to register and must be legally eligible to marry under the laws applicable to you.
You agree to provide truthful, current and complete information during registration and verification. Any misrepresentation - including of identity, marital status, income, education, profession or intent - will result in immediate and permanent account termination with no entitlement to any compensation of any kind. Providing false information may also constitute a criminal offence under applicable Indian law, and Maitrimony reserves the right to report such conduct to appropriate authorities.
Membership is available for INR 10,000 per year. Payment must be made in full before verification and onboarding begin. The annual renewal fee is INR 10,000. All payments are processed through secure third-party payment gateways. Maitrimony does not store your card or banking details.
Maitrimony provides a platform to connect individuals and families for matrimonial purposes. We do not guarantee, represent or warrant any specific outcome including any match, introduction, meeting or marriage. Our verification process - including Aadhaar-based KYC and third-party background checks - is designed to reduce the risk of misrepresentation and improve the quality of profiles on the platform. However, no verification process is infallible. Maitrimony does not warrant, and expressly disclaims, the accuracy, completeness or authenticity of any information provided by members. Members must exercise their own independent judgment, conduct their own due diligence, and seek independent verification before proceeding with any matrimonial alliance. Maitrimony shall not be held responsible or liable for the conduct, character, antecedents, or actions of any member at any time - whether before, during or after use of the platform.
You agree not to: use the platform for any purpose other than genuine matrimonial search; share other members' contact details outside the platform without consent; harass, stalk, threaten or deceive any member; post offensive or unlawful content; use the platform for commercial solicitation; create multiple accounts; or attempt to interfere with platform systems.
The INR 10,000 annual membership fee is non-refundable once the verification process has been initiated. Verification costs are incurred immediately upon submission and cannot be recovered. In exceptional circumstances where Maitrimony declines a profile for reasons entirely outside the member's control, the matter may be reviewed at Maitrimony's sole discretion. Maitrimony's decision in all membership and fee matters is final. No legal claim shall lie against Maitrimony in relation to membership fees paid.
All content on this platform - including the Maitrimony brand name, logo mark, design system, tagline, written content and code - is the original intellectual property of Maitrimony and is protected under applicable copyright, trademark and IP laws.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Maitrimony shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from use of the platform. Our total aggregate liability to you shall not exceed the membership fee paid by you in the 12 months preceding any claim.
Maitrimony reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate any account at any time if we reasonably believe a member has violated these Terms. No fee consideration will be offered upon termination for breach. Contact hello@maitrimony.com if you believe a termination was made in error.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Uttar Pradesh, India.

The annual membership fee of INR 10,000 is non-refundable. By paying the membership fee and proceeding with registration, you acknowledge and accept that the fee is fully earned by Maitrimony upon initiation of the verification process. This applies regardless of the outcome of your application, the number of matches viewed, or any other factor.
The membership fee covers substantial third-party costs incurred immediately and cannot be recovered, including: government-backed Aadhaar and DigiLocker KYC processing; fees paid to empanelled background verification agencies; time and resources of our internal review team; and onboarding and relationship management costs. These costs are committed the moment you submit your documents for verification.
In rare cases where Maitrimony is unable to process your application due to a technical failure entirely on our side - and where no verification has taken place - we may, at our sole discretion, offer a credit towards a future membership. This is not an entitlement. Each case will be assessed individually. Maitrimony's decision is final.
If your account is terminated due to a violation of our Terms of Service - including providing false information, misconduct, or misuse of the platform - no consideration of any kind will be offered. The full membership fee is forfeited in all such cases.
Payment of the membership fee does not guarantee any specific result including a match, an introduction, or a marriage. The fee grants access to the platform and covers the cost of verification services. Members must exercise their own independent judgment throughout the process.
Annual membership renews at INR 10,000. You will be notified 30 days before your renewal date. If you choose not to renew, your profile will be deactivated on your membership expiry date. No partial-year fees are offered.
